Medical cautions

Weekly BREATH sessions, SOMA healing and Yoga

Each class will list relevant medical cautions depending on the type of exercises used. In general, if any of the following conditions relate to you, you are strongly advised to speak to your doctor before breathwork.

>>> Unmedicated high blood pressure

>>> Severe panic or anxiety

>>> Epilepsy

>>> Stroke

>>> Pregnancy

>>> Heart disease

>>> Pacemaker or irregular heart patterns

>>> Severe respiratory conditions (e.g. emphysema, COPD, bronchitis, asthma)

NOTE

In the next lecture you will be asked to complete a short online form to confirm you have read these medical cautions and agree with the conditions listed. Failure to complete this step will lead to you being removed from the members site.

SOMA energised meditation

These sessions feature phases of hypoxia (low oxygen) and hyperventilation. The following conditions are contra-indicated i.e. you are strongly advised NOT to hold your breath UNLESS prescribed by a health professional, in the case of any of the following:

  • Severe/critical diseases or infections
  • COPD-II and COPD-III
  • Organ failure or late-stage terminal illness
  • Pregnancy
  • Cancer 
  • Epilepsy
  • Pacemaker or Cardiac Arrhythmia
  • Incontrollable hyper-tension (unmedicated high blood pressure)
  • Tinnitus
  • Severe mental illness
